A very confident MUT Basketball team will be taking part in USSA KZN Basketball League Opening Tournament, for both men and women, that will be played at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) Old Mutual Sport Hall on 19 May 2024. Other participants in the tournament are the Durban University of Technology (DUT) and the University of Zululand.
An S3 Electrical Engineering student from Umlazi Township, Sibonelo Sikhakhane, one of the players, said they were ready for the tournament. “Everybody has one common goal, to go there and dominate. We are still unbeaten. We would like to keep this run of form.” Sikhakhane said the tournament will start this weekend and continue after the mid-year exams.
The matches will be played from 8am to 5pm.
