AFRIMAT Bursary
AFRIMAT is offering a bursary opportunity to Engineering students for 2026 academic year across all levels of study excluding Pre-Tech.
Eligibility Criteria
• Must be currently registered in the Engineering field.
• Must NOT be funded by NSFAS or any other bursary in 2026.
• Must demonstrate good academic performance.

Students who meet the eligibility criteria should submit the required documents to
bursaryenquiries@mut.ac.za and state clearly that it is for AFRIMAT bursary
application.

AFRIMAT Bursary
Afrimat is currently seeking first-year Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering students from the uMkhanyakude District, particularly Hluhluwe and surrounding areas. Three students per programme who meet our 65% Average pass mark.
Interested students are requested to submit the following documents:
- Proof of registration (University letterheads)
- Proof of residence
- Tuition fee statement and invoice
- Residence fee statement and invoice (if applicable)
- Completed Afrimat bursary application form
- Mid-year academic results
- Copy of student ID
- University banking details on the institution’s official letterhead
