Staff member’s daughter graduates with a scarce skills degree

‘I feel ecstatic about this achievement’. This is what Dr Mthoko Ntuli, Student Development Officer said when asked about his daughter’s graduation. On 8 May 2024. Zamaphemba Ntuli graduated with the Bachelor of Science, Honours Degree in Statistics from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Explaining his role in Zamaphemba’s achievement, Dr Ntuli said that it was a “general parental role, as well as a mentor to unleash and nurture her potential. It also involves cultivating certain attributes such as resilience, integrity, diligence, and positive thinking”. Zamaphemba now works at Standard Bank, Corporate and Investment Banking Technology.
