I am excited at the opportunity to pay tribute to Professor Moosa Moshabela on the announcement of his appointment as Vice – Chancellor of the University of Cape Town. It is a great stride in his career and is well- deserved.
I have worked with Professor Moshabela in various committees as both of us have health and medical backgrounds. I have marvelled at his great work. I believe that this position will help advance many of his philosophies on how as university leaders, we should rally around our people so we can make contributions towards sustainable development goals.
Professor Moshabela has made various contributions to MUT during its various conferences and retreats. The entire MUT community wishes Professor Moshabela well in the next chapter of his working life.
