Media vibes as MEC launches a “skills revolutionary campaign” at MUT

More than 20 media houses at MUT

It is the story of the decade in KZN and a first for MUT. Today, is the day where all roads of all public universities, TVETs and a few colleges will lead to MUT. All these universities have been waiting for this day. It is the day when MEC Siboniso Duma, for the of Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs is launching a Skills Revolution campaign whose objective is to promote self-sufficiency, job creation, and economic rejuvenation by investing in human capital and has secured R200 million from merSETA to settle students’ arrears in higher education institutions and facilitate knowledge acquisition. MUT will receive its fair share of R30 million. Three broadcast radio stations are broadcasting live, Igagasi FM, Ukhozi FM, and MUT Campus Radio. It is the battle of radio stations. When asked how MUT Campus Radio will ensure that its listeners are not taken away by the mega radio stations, Ntokozo, Deputy Station Manager of MUT Campus Radio said, “We have run a good campaign on all social media platforms, and we will be integrating our live streaming with social media. We are happy to have these mega radio stations, they enhance brand MUT”. Dr Manyane Makua will welcome all the dignitaries on behalf of the MUT Vice-Chancellor.
