3rd-year MUT and DUT students invited to the Built Environment Student-Industry Conference

The organizers of the Expo of the Future Building Professionals cordially invite 3rd-year Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) and Durban University of Technology (DUT) students in the Built Environment and Engineering-related disciplines to the upcoming Student-Industry Conference, scheduled for Thursday, 7 December 2023. The conference will be held at the brand-new Student Centre at MUT. Dr Mariam Akinlolu, Lecturer in Construction Management, and Research Leader at London Metropolitan University, said the event promises to be an excellent platform for knowledge sharing, networking and collaboration between future professionals in the Built Environment and experienced industry experts. “Our vision is to provide an opportunity for young people to engage with industry leaders and experts in the field, learn about the latest trends and technologies in the sector, and network with other professionals,” said Dr Akinlolu. Dr Akinlolu is still attached to MUT where she spent some years as a Research Fellow.

This conference is hosted in partnership with the London South Bank University, the Master Builders Association in KZN, and the Chartered Institute of Building. Dr Akinlolu further said that the conference is designed to bridge the gap between aspiring students in the Built Environment and related fields, and the seasoned professionals who have been instrumental in shaping the industry.
