The MUT staff FC will be on the pitch this Saturday, 17 October 2026, when it takes part in the 128 FC Champions Invitational at CUT Stadium in Bloemfontein. The one-day tournament, hosted by 128 Football Club, brings together four teams: the hosts, Cairo Masters FC, the Central University of Technology (CUT), Free State, and MUT.
It is a chance to build relationships with a sister university of technology and with the football community in the Free State, and to show the MUT spirit of teamwork and fair play beyond our own campus,” said Tebello Mofokeng, one of the organisers and a player of the MUT team. “Our players have trained hard and are looking forward to representing MUT with pride. We are grateful to 128 FC for the invitation and to the University for its support. We are going to play the game the right way, with respect and good sportsmanship.”
The organisers have placed fair play, respect and good sportsmanship at the centre of the event. Kick-off is at 9:00 am. Entry is free, and all supporters are welcome. MUT colleagues and supporters in the Free State are encouraged to come out and cheer on the team. Good luck, MUT Staff FC!
