Short Courses

A short course is a short learning programme offered by higher education institutions outside their formal structured undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The purpose of these short courses is to upskill staff at the university in specific areas or competences related to teaching and learning or their discipline.

The objectives of short courses are in tandem with MUT’s vision and mission statements as well as the 2020-2025 Strategic Plan. The TLDC supports academic departments to develop new short courses and revise existing ones.  The TLDC conducts short course development workshops for academic staff who are interested in developing short courses. Additionally, short courses related to the academic enterprise will be offered by the TLDC.

Departments and units can rely on the services of staff at TLDC to assist with the development of high-quality short courses in line with professional development and industry needs.
