Two of the Body Building athletes linked to MUT will be jetting off to perform at different venues in November and December 2025. A 19-year-old Marketing first-year student from Groutville, north of Durban, Nduduzo Ndebele, will be leaving for Barcelona, Spain, to compete in the IFBB’s Fitness World Championships Challenge, from 11 to 17 November 2025. With athletes from other countries, Ndebele will go through a gruelling six stations, performing different exercises that test their endurance, strength, and stamina. A very excited Ndebele will perform at the lightweight division. He will be leaving the shores of his country for the first time.

The end of November will also see Ndebele’s coach and mentor, Maxwell “Bulldozer” Nxumalo, a veteran bodybuilder with national colours, and a big name in the sport, competing against super athletes in the Under 65, or Under 70 categories, from 26 November to 1 December 2025, in Saudi Arabia. “Bulldozer”, coach of the MUT Body Building team, will be taking part in the IFBB Body Building World Championship. This will be his third time. He expects to improve his position, yet again. “This time I want to place first,” he said. “Bulldozer” placed 10th in his first performance, a couple of years back; then placed fourth the second time.

“Bulldozer”, who began his bodybuilding sport in 2014, and was nominated Sportsman of the Year in 2022, now has the ‘Max Team Bodybuilding’ non-profit company, whose motto is “Fitness is good, knowledge is power”.
