The foresight of having students and Umlazi Township community’s youth participating in the MUT Campus Radio Station is bearing fruit. This week, Awethu Kelese, Programme Manager at the Station; and Ntokozo Buthelezi, Technical Manager, found themselves engaging in high-level discussions on how the MUT Radio Station would make history in hosting US experts on volunteerism, unpacking insights on this noble cause.
The campaign kicks off with a powerful radio interview hosted by COSAS, where programme leaders will outline the vision, goals, and urgency of fostering a culture of service among South African youth. Listeners will be introduced to the Volunteer Development Programme and invited to reflect on how Mandela’s legacy lives on through acts of kindness, empathy, and solidarity.
The interview, which will take place on 29 July 2025, at 7am, South African time, will set the stage for something even bigger: a Master Class that brings local initiative to global conversation.
