Department of Community Extension Showcases Agro-Processing at the Agricultural Extension Advisory Summit

The Department of Community Extension continues to respond “wholeheartedly” to   calls by the agricultural extension profession to work with it in empowering farmers and advancing the national food security agenda.  To this end, the department responded to an invitation by KwaZulu-Natal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) and took part in the Indigenous Food and Knowledge Exhibition and Agro-processing at the Olive Convention Centre on 14 August 2025. Professor Xolile Mkhize of the department said the event, which was endorsed by the Premier of KwaZulu-Natal, Thami Ntuli, aimed at advancing the development of farmers and agricultural advisors.
