
The founding Director of the Research directorate, Dr Anette Mienie, has been profiled by a local newspaper. The Courier has paid tribute to Dr Mienie for her leadership in steering the directorate for 25 years. Over the past two and a half decades, Dr Mienie has played a pivotal role in building MUT’s research capacity, fostering innovation, and creating opportunities for meaningful collaboration—locally, nationally, and internationally. Through her involvement in SASUF, SANORD, and SAHDIA, Dr Mienie has been instrumental in helping MUT connect with partner universities across the Nordic countries, the USA, Africa and the global north, amplifying the voice and impact of universities of technology within global research dialogues.
