Young MUT striker puts five past Chatsworth Rangers

‘Sika Bopha’ in action

The MUT Soccer team got back to winning ways by scoring five goals against Chatsworth Rangers last week. All these goals were scored by one player, centre forward, Thulebone Sikhakhane. Team captain, Mfundo Maseko, said Sikhakhane’s achievement was a result of his determination and discipline. “Sika Bopha (Sikhakhane’s nickname) is at the training ground 30 minutes before the starting time,” said Maseko. The MUT team is still number one in the SAB table.

Speaking on MUT Radio on 30 March 2022, the young Sikhakhane said he was going to use the opportunity he was given by the MUT team as a springboard to turn professional.

“I would like to play for a Premier Soccer League team,” he said.
