Vaccination drive to encourage staff to register

Sphelele Ndlovu, of MarComms, standing, is driving the campaign

This week, MarComms resuscitated its efforts to encourage staff to register to vaccinate against COVID-19, which continues to rampage through South Africa. The country continues to roll out vaccines to various age groups. This time it is the 35- to 49-year-old bracket that has been added to a list of those eligible to get a jab. The campaign will intensify from 1 September when the 18–34-year-old group get their turn to register and vaccinate.

“The priority is to get as many eligible people as possible to vaccinated. We also continue to remind our colleagues and students to sanitize or wash hands, wear a mask and social distance even when the have vaccinated. The power is still in our hands,” said Azwi Mufamadi, Director: Public Relations and Brand Management.

Moreover, the University reminded staff and students to do the mandatory health check, and sanitise, as they enter the gate.
