Professor Lourens Van Staden, MUT Administrator continued to praise Dr Manyane Makua and his TLDC team for the great conference delivered for and on behalf of MUT. The annual Focus Conference, which took place from 23-25 August 2023 off campus, was attended by at least 24 of South Africa’s universities and an international delegate from Canada. Professor Marcus Ramogale, Acting MUT Vice-Chancellor, wrote to Dr Makua: “Professor Van Staden expressed his appreciation of the high standard of organisation in the 10th Focus Conference. The 10th Focus Conference truly reflected its national and international standing and that of MUT”. Professor Ramogale further added that Professor Van Staden asked me to relay his appreciation to you and your team.”
