In the Intervarsity Tournament that took place on 13 and 14 May 2023 at the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Edgewood Campus, in a Netball match, MUT Ladies team lost to Golden Ladies by 38 to 43. On the following day, MUT Ladies lost to Happy Club by 38 to 50.
In a Rugby match at MUT Sports field on 13 May 2023, MUT male team beat Ogwini Bafana by 29 to 3.
On 13 May 2023, in a Hockey match, MUT men team lost to Tomas More by 1 to 5. On the following day, MUT men team lost to Gongs by 2 to 3.
In the Soccer Intervarsity semi-finals, MUT lost on penalties by 4 -2 to UKZN, while the MUT Ladies won their match against UKZN 2 to 1.
MUT academy beat DUT (Midlands) 2 – 0 in the third-place play-offs. The MUT Soccer ladies beat DUT (Midlands) 1-0. In Netball matches MUT teams had mix bag of results. MUT lost 34 to 28 to DUT. MUT beat UKZN by 33 to 21 and lost to UniZulu by 28 to 16. These matches were played on 13 May 2023.
In Bodybuilding, in the same tournament, Vuyisa Mahlamvana placed third in the Classic Bodybuilding category.
In the Men’s Physique, Mvelo Khumalo took the second position.
In the Ladies Bikini category, Zinhle Sithole also took the second position, while Sandiso Mthembu got the fourth position.
In the Men’s Classic Physique, Ntandazo Mtambo was the winner. MUT dominated the
Ladies Beach Bikini category. Nondumiso Shange placed first, and Pumla Nene took the second spot.
Still in Bodybuilding, in the Junior under 23s, MUT’s Sibusiso Nkomo took second place. In the Under 65 kg category, Ayabonga Cele took the first position.
In the Ladies Wellness category, Phindile Ngubane took the second position.
In the LFA, MUT Academy beat Fighters by 4-1 at King Zwelithini Stadium outer fields on 14 May 2023.
In the Ladies Soccer match that took place at KwaDabeka, MUT Soccer Ladies played a 2 all draw with Brazil Academy. This match was played on 14 May 2023.

In the KZN Hockey Association Outdoor Hockey League 2022, MUT Ladies team will square up against Gryphin at Queensmead Stadium on 20 May 2023, at 4pm. The following day, MUT men’s team will play against Umhlali at Ashton. This will be an early, which will be played at 9:30 in the morning.
On the same date, 20 May 2023, the MUT Basketball take part in a tournament that involves UKZN, UniZulu and DUT. These matches are KZN USSA qualifiers. They will be played at UKZN’s Howard College Campus.
On the same date, at 3:30pm, MUT Rugby team will host Crusaders. This will be a DSRU Walker Cup Third Division match.
Lastly, on 21 May 2023, in the eThekwini Metro Netball Regional League , MUT will take on Dolphins at 12 pm,and UKZN Edgewood, at 3 pm. These matches will be played at Hoy Park.
