MUT staff joined the rest of the world at the World Science Forum held in Cape Town from 6-9 December 2022 for discussions under the theme, “Science for Social Justice”.
Mbali Mkhize, Senior Director of Marketing and Communications; Xoli Ngubane and S’busiso Nkosi, both from the Technology Station in Chemicals (TSC); and Nokukhanya Thembane from Biomedical Sciences; represented the university at the Forum.
Mkhize attended at an invitation from the Minister of Higher Education and Training, Dr Blade Nzimande because of her work in the DAAD fellowship. Her attendance was also an opportunity for MUT to be recognized by top funders from the Netherlands, Switzerland and Norway. The MUT stand was strategically located and had a sizeable footprint.
