MUT main entrance gets a facelift

The newly painted gate at the University’s main campus

The rebranding project that started with the launch of the new Corporate Identity in 2019 at MUT continues. Mbali Mkhize, Senior Director: Marketing and Communications at the University said repositioning an organisation of MUT’s history and magnitude is a lot like assembling a puzzle. Like a puzzle, every part of the rebranding exercise is important.

“The main entrance is the most symbolic structure at MUT because that is the first part of the university you see when you come to the main campus,” Mkhize said. “It is important that the main entrance is a true representation of the university. It also gives an assurance to students that quality is paramount to the University”.

The revamped entrance puts greater emphasis on the corporate colours of the University and highlights the name of the Institution along with its new logo. Mkhize said the new logo is a representation of the past of the University, and its envisaged future, with an African orientated.
