The MUT Convocation Executive Committee (CONVEXCO) hosted an induction and constitutional summit where they discussed their roles and responsibilities, and what the committee expects to deliver during its tenure. The induction and constitutional summit took place at the Garden Court Marine Parade Hotel on 29 May 2021.

The Induction introduced CONVEXCO to MUT culture, MUT convocation processes and their responsibilities in the convocation. MUT Chairperson of Council, Morailane Morailane; Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Marcus Ramogale; and University Registrar, Mike Naidoo were among the delegates who attended the event. Chief among the objectives of the event was the review of the Convocation constitution.

“We are glad that the Vice-Chancellor, Chairperson of Council and the Registrar attended the event which shows that we are on the right track,” said Convocation President, Sandile Dlamini. “The Induction is what we have been lacking all along. Now we are ready to hit the ground running.”
