Council approved an increase of 8.5% in tuition and residence fees for 2010.

The registration deposit remains at R2000 for annual students and R1000 for semester students.

A residence deposit of 50% must be paid on registration.

Unlike other higher education institutions, MUT will allow you to register with an outstanding balance from the previous registration cycle, provided payments are made as follows:

1st Quarter: payment of 20% of the outstanding fees plus Registration deposit;

End of first Quarter: payment of 25% of 2010 fees;

2nd Quarter: Payment of 20% of outstanding fees plus 25% of 2010 fees;

3rd Quarter: Payment of 20% of outstanding fee plus 25% of 2010 fees;

4th Quarter: Payment of 20% of outstanding fees plus 25% of 2010 fees;

2011 1st Quarter: Payment of 20% of outstanding fees for 2009 (this completes the 2009 debt)
